the appointment.
the practice before the room
Surrender isn't relaxing. Relaxing is something you do.
Surrender is something you stop doing.
This is where you keep that appointment. Not with me. With yourself. Fifteen minutes, the same instruction every time: meet whatever's there — pleasant, unpleasant, nothing at all — with the same attention, without chasing it and without fixing it. No negotiating with yourself about whether you're in the mood. That's the whole mechanism. Do it enough times and the letting go stops being an idea you understood and starts being a capacity your body actually has.
This is the practice. What the room will ask you to know how to do.
$77. Not a one-listen. Keep the appointment — not just when you're already underwater, but especially then. Come back to it before a session, whenever you need to remember how.
